![]() ![]() ![]() For some builds(not this one), cooldown reduction(cdr) will be a stat to keep a lookout for. Strength(str), critical hit chance(cc), critical hit damage(cd), element of choice(fire with the example build above), all resistance(ar), vitality(vit), elite damage(from aughilds or sun keeper), and main skill damage(+15% hota dmg for instance). ![]() Passives: Unforgiving, Superstition, Rampage, Bloodthirst 4: Wrath of the Berserker-insanity rune.3: Battle Cry-bloodshed rune or marauder's rage rune (Bloodshed preferred).2: War Cry-charge rune or impunity rune.right: Hammer of the Ancients-smash rune/Seismic Slam-shattered ground rune (I'd prefer SS).This is copy/pasted from a previous post, a basic outline, which can change depending on your goals or specific items found: Combine this with Bloodthirst and you'll be healing a ton from all the HotA.įrom what I hear, barbarians are a lot less powerful than they were before 2.0. Superstition not only lowers damage but also generates fury when you take damage making it both defensive and offensive. With these passives you should be able to stand in Ghoms poison cloud and just spam HotA. >:)Īlso make sure you take Bloodthirst and Superstition as your passives. With good enough gear you can just HotA packs once and make them all explode with one crit. I used to run Leap - Call of Arreat just to generate fury from jumping in, pull them all close and HotA. Your play should basically be: Frenzy until you have almost max fury and then spam HotA til your Fury drops to about half and then build it back up again (keeping your Frenzy stacks up for more damage and also keeping your Fury high because HotA has a higher chance to crit the more Fury you have. You should be aiming for 45%+ Crit Chance and 450%+ Crit Damage, trying to keep them in the ratio 1:10. HoTA crits ALL the time so combining it with Battle Rage basically turns it into an AoE. Your AoE will come from Battle Rage - Bloodshed which causes your crits to hit everyone around you for 20% of the damage. That's the beauty of HoTA, you can actually do nice single target damage whereas most of the other early builds fail terribly. I prefer Augilds so I can get the 3 set with the Ring of Grandeur (15% Elite damage and 15% less damage from Elites is very nice). Well currently Leapquake is really your only option for T6 at least until 2.1 comes out. ![]()
